Hash Bash ICHC Moderator Chat Commands

/topic (topic sentence)
    to set the room topic

/poll (question)|(response1)|(reponse2)
    to take a one minute poll in the room


/poll 1 (question)|(response1)|(reponse2)
    to take a 1 hour (can use 1 through 24) poll)


/poll abort
    to abort a poll


/cam down (name)
    to stop (name)'s current cam broadcast


/cam time
    to see how long everyone has been on cam (helpful if cams are full)


/muzzle (name)
    to muzzle (name) from sending messages to the entire room. They can still PM, whisper and cam. Using the command a second time on the same person will un-muzzle them.


/muzzled
    to list who is currently muzzled.


/kick (name)
    to kick (name) from room. They can re-enter.


/silence (name)
    to temporarily silence (name)


/roomban (name) (x)
    to ban from room for x hours (1-24, default is 2 if not specified)


/cam refuse (name)
    to prevent a name from seeing any cams (until they re-login)


/banned
    to list who is currently banned


/forgive (name)
    to forgive a ban



/silence *
    to temporarily silence the entire room (except for mods, self-modders, and people on cam)


/oper (name)
    to make (name) room mod


/welcome
    to show the welcome text to the room


/rules
    to give the room a link to the room rules


/clear
    to clear chat window (if someone just accidentally pasted their social security # into chat, etc


/demodme
    to de-mod yourself


/modme
    can be used by room owners and self-mods to mod themselves

/msg (name)
    to send an in-chat whisper to (name)

/privmsg (name)
    to send a pop-up private message (PM) to (name)

/me
    to tell the room you are performing an action

/nick (name)
    to change your name/nick

/cam refresh
    to close/reopen cams

/finger
    to display basic information about a user (even if they are using a nick)

/filter (name)
    search your local chat history buffer for all chat lines containing 'name'

/nocolor
    display all chat convo in black (refresh the page to switch it back off)

ping
    to check your connection to chat (the server responds with 'pong')

/tellmods
    to whisper to all the mods in the room at once

/cam block (name)
    to block 'name' from viewing your cam. You can edit/remove this on your settings page.

/tellmods
    to whisper to all the mods in the room at once


/status
This is to see a status update on your profile page (and the front page of people that are 'following' you).
This is a way to keep people up-to-date on what you are upto even if you don't happen to be in chat at the same time.


/follow
'Following' someone just puts their latest status updates on your front page.
You can also follow people (and unfollow them) from their profile page.

/set youtube=0
    set to '0' to disable in-chat viewing of youtube links (youtube links will open in new browser tab/instance). Set to '1' to view youtube videos as a pop-up in chat. Default setting is '1'.


/set selfbeep=0
    set to '0' to disable playing an audio notification when someone addresses you with '@name' in chat. Set to '1' to re-enable. Default setting is '1'.


/set pmbeep=0
    set to '0' to disable playing an audio notification when you receive a PM. Set to '1' to re-enable. Default setting is '1'


/set whisperbeep=0
    set to '0' to disable playing an audio notification when you receive a whisper. Set to '1' to re-enable. Default setting is '1'.


/set nopopup=1
    set to '1' to disable showing pop-up/hover notification in chat (the message will be displayed in the main chat window instead). Set to '0' to re-enable. Default setting is '0'.
